Web Development
I created my first Web page in October 1995 for a college course assignment, and I have maintained an online presence ever since. I have a collection of over a dozen personal and professional Web sites, each hand-coded and featuring graphics created by me.
Design
Design for the Web is more than just creating pretty pictures. Good design digs deeper and involves functional decisions as well, including issues such as user interface, navigation, and overall site structure.
Content
Content is the most important part of any Web site. Most visitors are willing to overlook poor design and unfriendly interface issues if the content provides meaningful value. Creating content is hard work, but it pays great dividends.
Mark-Up
Mark-up is the glue that binds design and content. I take pride in using text editors to hand-create the HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and programming scripts used in my Web sites.
